Or if you have any personal experience to tell I'll be glad if you'd share it leaving a comment.

  1. Plz tell me about femmycycle. How long can you wear it and how bad is your flow? I'm a pretty heavy bleeder, was wondering whether it will work for me. I have low cervix, so plz do tell me about the length (including ring) and whether a person with low cervix will be able to use it.

  2. Hi! The total lenght is 6.5 cm (2.6 inches) the ring alone is 2 cm, the diameter of the rim is 4 cm, the body is larger then the rim though and I'd say it's about 4.7 cm.
It comes in one size but the lenght of the cup itself (without the stem) is the same of many small size cups that's why is expecially recommended for women with low cervix. From the instruction leaflet "the F. should sit in the lower part of the vagina as a receptacle for menstrual blood" I can conferm it, my cervix is generally hight and the all the cups tend to go very up however the F.sit quite low in my body I suppose that's because of its "bellied" shape and because it kind of inflate once inserted.
I want to point out that the Femmycycle is designed to not pop open completely, that create a suction to attract the flow into the cup, that's why I think it's good even as first cup as you don't have to struggle to make it pop open and it's easy to take it out as you don't need to release the suction (like you do with other cups) but you can just grab the ring, gently squeeze the cup to reduce the volume and avoid to take it out completely open, and take it out.
The F. can be be used for up to 12 hours like many cups, obviously it depend on your flow. I've a generous flow on the first and second day, during one of those I tried to wear it for about ten hours and when I took it out it was filled up to a bit more then half. The F. is the menstrual cup with the higher capacity on the market as it can contain up to 30 ml. I know many women that got a F. because are heavy bleeder and they had leaking with other cups.
Personally i didn't have any problems at all with F., no leaks no struggle to understand if it was open enough, at the moment it's one of my fav, i love it. The only downside is that it has to be changed after only one year (if you take proper care of it it can last longer) however the pack contains two cups.
I'll post my review of Femmycycle in the coming days, but I'll post some comparison pics tomorrow if you want me to. Have you tried any menstrual cups before or is the Femmycycle going to be your first one?

  3. Ok, so the Femmy isn't supposed to pop all the way open once inserted? I have found when it does, I have no leaks, but when one (or more) of the sides are collapsed, I spot out of it and it does not come out as clean or as full.
